Do not follow links in emails that you are not expecting (ie, outside normal auctions that you are participating in) and which invite you to update your information, as you may be taken to a fraudulent site. Phishing, as this is known, involves using a fake website to extract important information. For example, you may be asked to top-up your account by credit card when the purpose of the site is really to capture your credit card details.
